Projects I have led and delivered, from plan to finished work.

A record of projects managed across finance, operations, property, packaging, funding and community. I have grouped them by discipline rather than by employer, because the same way of working runs through all of it: understand the real problem, design a system to fix it, then stay on the ground until it is delivered.

The principle

Understand the real problem, design a system to fix it, then stay on the ground until it is delivered.

If a fix cannot be repeated by someone else next month, it is not finished.

How I run a project

One method, whether the job is a set of company accounts or a shipping container of printed film.

  1. Diagnose firstI watch how things really work, not how the manual says they should. Most delays trace back to silos and missing standards.
  2. Build a systemSOPs, KPI dashboards, intake forms, tracking. If a fix cannot be repeated next month, it is not finished.
  3. Read the whole businessSales, operations, technology, products, purchasing, logistics and people, all checked before I commit to a plan.
  4. The No Trust processOn supply work: sign off artwork, confirm two samples, do supplier due diligence, then manage production to the door. Nothing on assumption.

And then the step most people skip: I stay for delivery. Advice on its own rarely changes anything, so on almost every project here I did not just recommend the change, I stayed and embedded it with the people who had to live with it.

Property investment and management

The flagship work: sourced, refurbished, tenanted and delivered across the UK. Each project ran the same loop, research demand, choose the highest-value improvements, control the spend, minimise the void.

LocationPropertyGross yield
Glasgow2-bed flat9.4%
Edinburgh4-bed terrace8.4%
Aberdeen2-bed flat8.2%
Glasgow2-bed flat7.4%
South Wales3-bed terrace7.3%
South Wales2-bed end-terrace6.8%

Six completed refurbishments, realised gross yields from 6.8% to 9.4%, each let shortly after works, on time and on budget. Alongside the deals I built staged buy-to-let investment plans and property-services models that take an investor from first market analysis to a tenanted, income-producing portfolio.

Operations and process improvement

An industrial distributor

Order-to-cash redesign

Wrong shipments, sales and purchasing pulling against each other, cash tied up in late payments. I built one order-to-cash process: standardised intake, automated purchase orders, live tracking and delivery-linked invoicing.

80% fewer product returns within six months; cash flow stabilised.

A business services firm

Operational audit

An internal audit of processes that had grown too slow. I found fragmented systems, undocumented procedures and layered approvals, and set out a single ERP, documented SOPs and streamlined approvals.

A clear roadmap to shorter cycle times and consistent delivery.

Packaging projects

Complex, on-order packaging run end to end on the disciplined No Trust process, from artwork to customs. Every job advances only on signed artwork, confirmed samples and supplier due diligence, never on assumption.

  1. Sign off the artworkNothing is ordered until the design is confirmed and approved in writing.
  2. Confirm two samplesTwo pre-production samples are proven before a full run is authorised.
  3. Supplier due diligenceThe supplier is checked and verified, never assumed, before any commitment.
  4. Manage to the doorProduction and logistics are managed through customs to delivery, on spec and on time.

A global semiconductor manufacturer

Semiconductor moisture bag

A twelve-month sourcing and testing cycle across a global supplier network until a sample passed the specification for storing sensitive chips.

Qualified to a demanding technical standard.

An agri-food producer

Plastic-free egg carton

A plastic-free, branded carton egg container, a first for the Maltese market, taken from design through supplier due diligence to delivery.

A sustainable product launched to spec.

A food producer, a retailer and a food manufacturer

Film, bags and pouches

A new film matched to a new machine and proven on the line; durable reusable branded bags turned around within five days of port arrival; LDPE bags re-engineered into cost-effective pouches sourced across three regions.

Delivered on budget, without losing quality.

New ventures, events and funding

Building something from a blank page, running it in front of a crowd, and putting the funding case together underneath.

VistaPak · new venture

A packaging business built from a blank page

I founded VistaPak on a lean, on-order model for the food industry and wrote every part of it myself: the business plan, the financial model, the supplier network and the day-to-day operation. Alongside it I have written full business plans and market-entry strategies for ventures in property services and consumer services.

Taken from launch to a profitable, self-sustaining operation within two years.

Events and community

National-scale events, run with volunteer teams

Community and cultural projects delivered end to end, most notably the Qormi Bread Festival: a two-day national street festival opened by the President of Malta, backed by more than thirty sponsors and built around several thousand visitors, directed with a team of over 100 staff and volunteers.

Funding and grants

More than ten funded projects

Grant-readiness work, financial models and applications across EU and national routes, including Erasmus+, ERDF, ESF+, JEREMIE and Micro Invest, on the bidding side.

Business planning and new ventures

Full business plans and market-entry strategies, each with a staged roadmap and numbers built to hold up under scrutiny.

VistaPak

A food-packaging venture, planned and built

A specialisation-led, relationship-first plan for on-order food packaging, taken from a blank page to a profitable operation.

Property plans

Staged buy-to-let and property services

Multi-stage plans moving an investor from income to capital growth, and a property-services model spanning administration, sourcing and an investor network.

Consumer and writing

Tiered service models

A tiered domestic-services business and a self-funded professional-writing consultancy, each with a phased, costed market-entry plan.

Interim leadership and advisory

Alongside the projects, I have taken interim and advisory scopes at CEO, COO and CFO level: writing the operations manual, building the standard procedures and internal audit, and setting the KPI reporting so the business could run and prove it after I left. The test is always the same, that the fix outlives me.

Common questions

What kinds of project do you take on?

Projects with a clear start, a defined outcome and someone depending on it: operations and finance redesigns, property refurbishments, packaging and supply, funding cases, business plans and community events. If it needs a system built around it, it fits.

Do you only advise, or do you deliver?

I deliver. On almost every project here I did not just recommend the change, I stayed on the ground and embedded it with the people who had to live with it. Advice on its own rarely changes anything.

How does an engagement work?

It starts with a diagnosis of how things really run, then a written plan with owners, milestones and measures. You get a system you can keep using, not a report that sits in a drawer.

What is the No Trust process?

A disciplined method for supply and packaging work: sign off artwork, confirm two pre-production samples, do supplier due diligence, then manage production and logistics to the door. Nothing moves to the next stage on assumption.

What sizes and sectors do you work with?

From owner-run SMEs to multinationals, across finance, manufacturing and supply, property, education and the public sector, in Malta and the United Kingdom.
