Leading a sales team
Setting targets people believe in, coaching your sellers rather than doing their deals for them, and running a pipeline meeting that is worth turning up to.
Coaching · With Stefan Gauci Scicluna
Some of the work is better done one person at a time. Stefan coaches owners, managers and the people who lead sales teams, on their own, away from the rest of the business. You bring what is actually on your desk this month: a team that is not hitting its numbers, a hard conversation you keep putting off, a promotion you are not sure you are ready for. You leave each session with something you can try on Monday.
Most of the people Stefan coaches run something. An owner who has grown past the point where they can see every sale themselves. A sales manager who was the best seller in the team and now has to get results through other people. A department head who has just been promoted and is quietly worried about it. What they have in common is that the business depends on how they lead, and nobody inside the business is in a position to tell them the truth about it.
You set the agenda. These are the four things that come up most.
Setting targets people believe in, coaching your sellers rather than doing their deals for them, and running a pipeline meeting that is worth turning up to.
Choosing the five figures that matter, reading them every week, and acting on them before the month is over.
The underperformer, the star who breaks the rules, the partner who disagrees with you. Planned, practised and then had.
Where your time goes, what only you can do, and what you should have handed over a year ago.
Stefan has spent twenty years building and running businesses in Malta and the UK, and he has taught management at university level since 2013. He has sat in the chairs his clients sit in: hiring the wrong person, losing a big customer, carrying a team through a bad year. Coaching sessions are confidential, and they stay separate from any consultancy work the firm does for your business unless you ask otherwise.
If what you need is the whole sales engine looked at, that is our sales performance consultancy. Coaching is for you, the person leading it. Some clients start with one and add the other later.
No. Consultancy looks at the business: the sales process, the systems and the team. Coaching looks at you and how you lead. Some clients do both, and some only want one.
Stefan Gauci Scicluna, our Managing Director, coaches every client himself.
Either. Sessions can be in person or by video, whichever suits you better.
It depends on how often we meet and for how long. We agree the fee in writing after the free call, before anything starts.
Yes. What you discuss stays between you and Stefan. If your employer is paying, we agree at the start what, if anything, is reported back to them.
